Life has a way of changing our trajectory when we least expect it.

One moment, you’re cruising comfortably along a familiar path — confident, capable, certain of where you’re headed. The next, an unexpected force arrives like a sudden solar wind, pushing you off course and into unfamiliar space.

As much as we wish we could predict when these moments will come, we can’t. What we can choose is how we respond.

When change arrives, we stand at a crossroads:
Do we fight it and stay stuck… or do we surrender, pivot, and ask God for guidance?

As a woman of faith — and someone who has weathered more than a few major life shifts — I’ve learned that resistance only prolongs the pain. Growth begins when we trust God enough to move forward, even when the path looks different than we imagined.

Today, I want to share one of the biggest pivots of my life — and the exciting new chapter it has opened.

A Necessary Goodbye — And a Faith-Filled Pivot

Due to an assault on my already impaired back, I’ve come to the difficult but necessary decision to retire from offering hands-on beauty services altogether.

This wasn’t an easy choice.

Beauty has been a core part of my identity for years. As a Licensed Cosmetologist, professional makeup artist, and hairstylist, I poured my heart into helping others feel confident and beautiful. But sometimes, life redirects us not because we’ve failed — but because it’s time to evolve.

Rather than seeing this as an ending, I chose to see it as a calling.

So today, I’m stepping into a new role:

Becky D. Beauty — Beauty Education Specialist & Content Creator

This pivot allows me to continue sharing everything I’ve learned over the years — without compromising my health — while expanding into areas that reflect the fullness of who I am.

And from that decision, something bigger was born.

The Foundation: Becky D. Ministry

Before I talk about brands, content, or communities, something must be clear.

None of this exists without faith.

At the core of every pivot, every offering, and every lesson I share is my walk with God. Becky D. Ministry is not a side project or a content category — it is the foundation everything else is built on.

This ministry was formed through presence, prayer, kindness, and compassion — often in moments where words were not enough. It is rooted in walking alongside women through pain and loss, listening without fixing, and learning firsthand the cost of love and grief.

Becky D. Ministry exists to share faith-anchored encouragement, lived testimony, and honest reflections on obedience, suffering, healing, and hope — with humility, boundaries, and reverence for the weight people carry.

Becky D. Beauty will always be where this journey began — but with a powerful shift in focus.

Going forward, all beauty content will be education-driven, not service-based.

This includes:

• In-depth beauty education content

• Online beauty classes available through a low-cost subscription

• Step-by-step training videos for cosmetology students

• Exam prep resources to help students pass the Texas licensing exam

• A major initiative to become TDLR-certified to provide official Continuing Education (CE) courses required for cosmetology license renewal in Texas

My goal is simple:
To become a trusted, accessible educational resource for beauty professionals — whether you’re just starting out or maintaining your license.

Pillar Two: Becky D. Foodie — Feeding the Family, Feeding the Soul

One of the most exciting additions to the empire is Becky D. Foodie — and this one comes straight from the kitchen and real life.

As a stay-at-home mom for over twenty years, I didn’t attend culinary school or grow up knowing all the tricks. I learned through trial and error, Food Network shows, cooking programs, and daily practice while feeding a family.

Becky D. Foodie will focus on:

• Family-friendly cooking tutorials

• An online recipe-sharing community

• Meal ideas for everyday life and special occasions

• Practical tips that make life easier while caring for a household

• Honest stories from navigating motherhood, mistakes included

Just like with beauty, Becky D. Foodie will also involve trying, testing, and reviewing products — including foods, ingredients, kitchen tools, and gadgets — all through real family use.

A special part of this pillar is highlighting locally sourced and family-owned businesses, including collaborations with relatives and community producers offering organic honey, handcrafted mead, and other thoughtfully made products. Becky and Capone will both be involved in tasting, testing, and sharing honest feedback — prioritizing transparency, experience, and integrity over promotion.

This is real food, real people, real families — no perfection required.

Pillar Three: Becky D. Beats — Music, Testimony, and Creative Courage

The most personal pillar of the empire is Becky D. Beats.

This is where I share my journey through music — from my teenage years to today — with complete honesty. Music, much like motherhood, has been an adventure filled with lessons learned through experience.

Through this platform, I’ll be offering:

• Online classes for singing and stage presence

• Creative encouragement for performers at every stage

This pillar focuses on preserving lived wisdom through books, teachings, and hands-on family practices — including Kingdom Legacy Farms and our family’s journey into homesteading, sustainability, and land stewardship.
